Welcome to an overview of Furnace history as well as an introduction to local historian Betty Anderson's newest book: Catoctin Furnace: Portrait of an Iron-Making Village. Meticulously researched and extensively referenced the book covers Furnace history from 1774 until 1903. Posthumously published, Betty Anderson's manuscript was edited by her daughter Elizabeth Anderson Comer. Participants will enjoy PowerPoint and question & answer session with Ms. Comer.
